Description:APF active power filter is a new type of power electronic device for dynamic filtering harmonic and dynamic compensating reactive power. Three phase parallel converter made of IGBT tube is connected in parallel on the power network through series reactor. Load current is collected to the APF control system through current transformer. Then the harmonic component and fundamental reactive component in the load current are separated out by detecting the circuit at real time. Through the rapid computing of control system, the triggering of IGBT is controlled by P boron technique. Compensation current is injected into the system through the three phase parallel converter. And the compensation current is equal and opposite to the harmonic current in the load current, so they can cancel each other to realize the function of filtering harmonics, guaranteeing the sine waveform of the current which finally flows into the system, increasing the power factor of power grid and improving the power quality.
