K-factor transformer is specially designed to withstand harmonic. According to the specifications of ANSI/IEEE C57.110-1986, K= ∑ LH (PU) h. K-factor ranges from 1 to 50. 1 indicates a linear load(no harmonic) and 50 terribly harmonic environment. The larger the K-factor, the stronger the capacity of eliminating harmonic interference of the transformer.
