The difference between ABS and PLA

 

 

Raw material: ABS is produced from fossil fuels and PLA is made from biological resources, so that PLA plastic is biodegradable.

 

Material property: 

 

• PLA is rigid liquid and ABS is crystallised liquid, which means that when heated, ABS transit slowly from a gel to liquid and PLA  transits direct from solid to liquid 
• ABS is more flexible and PLA is more solid, that mean when being stressed, PLA is easier snap.
• PLA is more glossy looking consumable than ABS
