Quality
It is our responsibility to obtain the highest quality of wood as possible - meaning that all front surfaces are clear for sapwood and defects. The cut of the raw materials is usually quarter cut and/or plane cut. All color differences between the slats are sorted out, so all have uniform color tones.
Harvest
All harvest comes from plantations that were established by the Dutch colonists in the 1920’s. Today Perhutani (Indonesian Forestry Government) with independent reforestation programs are planting around 30 million plants of teak trees every year, to obtain the demand of this very sough-after wood species.
