This is no ordinary photographic shoot through umbrella. Forfeel offer you a range of parabolic type light modification system umbrellas.
We had to go back to basics. The cloth? Not nylon like others use, but polyester instead. The ribs. 16 instead of the normal 8 gives a stronger design and a more round edge shape. Instead of metal ribs, we have used a white fibre. Again stronger, and less obvious in the catchlights in your images. The cloth panels are not single stitched as normal umbrellas are, but double-fold stitched instead, for strength, to minimize light leaks.
The shaft is made from a strong 7.75mm tube. For Elinchrom owners, we are sorry that a 7mm shaft was not possible, as steel tubing is generally only available in 6mm and 8mm, and our tests of the 6mm and 7mm tube that we could have used showed it was not strong enough.
'Parabolic' shape. The shape is specially designed, when used with the optional black/silver cover, to reflect light back in a more focused, tighter beam - resulting in a more evenly and more powerfully lit subject.
