A fine Swiss cylinder watch with offset dial set in a silver Prussian coin. Extremely flat 8 jewel Bagnolet calibre movement with cylinder escapement. Suspended going barrel, visible Geneva stopwork, plain three arm balance with spiral hairspring. Winding, hand set and regulation carried out from the back by means of the male key. The mechanics are protected by being concealed between the main movement plates. Small offset white enamel dial, Roman numerals, blue steel Breguet hands. The watch contained in a silver Prussian one Thaler piece of 1854. The bust with the text "Friedr. Wilhelm IV Koenig V. Preussen". On the obverse, a multi section shield surrounded by " Ein Thaler XIV Eine F. M.1854" and around the edge of the coin "Gott Mit Uns". Both lids opened by depressing small pins in the edge, the inside gilt.
