Although is is labeled as "soup" in a menu, Thais usually treat it as one of the main dishes and they will eat "Tom Yam" along with other dishes-not before other dishes. What you have to do is just put in all the ingredients you want(normally I will dump in shrimps, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms and kaffir leaves for the smell) and dump in the stock cube and add some salt for seasoning...
