Strobilanthes crispus's leaf is traditionally used to treat cancer, diabetes and as a diuretic agent. In recent years strobilanthes has been in the limelight for its anti-cancer properties. This plant has a high calcium carbonate and recent Japanese research reveals that it has compound and molecules that is capable of slowing down the growth of retrovirus like HIV that causes AIDS. Strobilanthes is very rich in minerals like potassium and calcium and has vitamin C, B1, B2 in high level which contributes to its total anti-oxidant activity. Many users testify to diminishing tumor and cyst growth after taking this tea. It is a mild diuretic and laxative. <> <>
In Chinese, the herb is called "hei miang jiang jun" which can be literally translated as Black Face General. Our Strobilanthes leaves are insecticide-free and herbicides-free. Only green leaves are harvested and dried in food-grade stainless steel oven. The leaves are then cut into 3 mm tea size before packed into bag. Each bag weights 3 kg and each box contains 3 bags i.e., 3 x 6 =18 kg. <> <>
Besides bulk/loose packing (cut into 3mm tea size), Strobilanthes Crispus is also available in tea bags packed in jar/box.
