The kit consists of a printed outline picture layer over a self-adhesive base. The picture is to be coloured, a segment at a time. This is done by peeling the segment at a time. This is done by peeling the segment layer of the picture. The exposed segment is covered with the chosen coloured sand. The excess sand is then shaken off, leaving behind a thin layer of the coloured sand coating the exposed segment.
