This is an Inward Connections 820 Series side car loaded with six (6) MP820 Tube mic preamps / line drivers and two (2) 820 LA2A style compressors. Steve Firlotte designed these to be as close as possible to Bill Putman's now famous Universal 610 console. They are all tube right down to the power supply (nothing solid state!) which is filled with 6L6 tubes which provide the power for the unit!.

The 820 sidecar is 8 Channels of pure tubes and transformers, based on classic tube design from the golden age of analog audio. Stick it on the front end of your digital audio workstation and youll become a believerbut its a lot more than that; with the addition of our LA2A style compressor and our Pultec style EQ modules, you can turn this chassis into a complete tracking console.
These three one-of-a-kind, classically designed modules are all modeled after tried and tested vintage designs. And all three are interchangeable in the 820 SIDE CAR for a truly custom tracking board. Each module has its strong points and can be applied in unlimited situations. 820 POWER SUPPLY.
The power supply of any piece of gear is an integral part of the sound, which we don't take for granted. This 820 side car was designed from the ground up and uses a complement of four 6L6 tubes to give the 820 a rock-solid ride. Talk about idling. Tube power supplies don't get much better than this.
