Durian is a tropical fruit which originated in Southeast Asia for over 600 years and widely known as the "King of Fruits", the durian is distinctive for its large size, unique odour, and formidable thorn-covered husk. Hence, the scienctific name of durian means "the spiny fruit that has an overpowering smell". For Thais it is called "Turian". Thai people love to eat durian, and this traditional has been passed on from generation to generation.
