INTRODUCTION

One low-volume dose of ivermectin 1% controls internal and external parasites that impair the health and productivity of cattle.

Antiparasitic remedy for cattle, sheep and pigs

PRODUCT INDICATIONS

Ivermectin 1% is indicated for the treatment and control of the following species of

Gastrointestinal roundworms (adults and fourth stage larvae)

Lungworms (adult and fourth stage larvae)

Eyeworms

Mange Mites

Sucking lice, etc

COMPOSITION

Contains: Ivermectin 1 % m/v

ADMINISTRATION

To be given subcutaneously only.

In cattle inject under the loose skin in front of or behind the shoulder.

In sheep the loose skin behind the shoulder is an acceptable site. Other administration sites are the skin under the foreleg (axilla) and the inside of the thigh.

DOSAGE

Cattle: Inject subcutaneously at the approved dosage level of 200 µg Ivermectin per kilogram of body mass. Each ml contains 10 mg of Ivermectin sufficient to treat 50 kg of body mass.

Pigs: The approved dose level is 1 ml per 33 kg (300 µg/kg) subcutaneously.

Sheep: Inject subcutaneously at the recommended dosage level of 200 µg per kilogram of body mass (1 ml per 50 kg body mass).

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Use only as directed. Shake well before use.

STORAGE

Store below 30 °C, away from sunlight

WARNINGS

Cattle and sheep must not be slaughtered for human consumption within 21 days of last treatment.

Pigs must not be slaughtered for human consumption within 28 days of last treatment.

Do not use in dairy cattle within 28 days before calving where milk or milk products are intended for human consumption.

PRECAUTIONS

l Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals.

l Do not re-use empty bottles.

l Refrain from smoking and eating while handling the product.

l Wash hands after use.
