Gentamycin Sulfate 15% Injection
DESCRIPTION | Gentamycin belongs to the group of aminoglycosides and acts bactericidal against mainly Gram-negative bacteria like E. coli, Klebsiella, Pasteurella and Salmonella spp. The bactericidal action is based on inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis. |
COMPOSITION | Contains per ml: Gentamycin base...................................150 mg Solvents ad. ...........................................1 ml |
INDICATIONS | Gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by gentamycin sensitive bacteria, like E. coli, Klebsiella, Pasteurella and Salmonella spp., in calves, cattle, goats, sheep and swine. |
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION | For intramuscular administration: General: Twice daily 1 ml. per 30 - 60 kg. body weight for 3 days. |
WITHDRAWAL TIMES: | - For kidneys: 45 days. - For meat: 7 days. - For milk: 3 days. |
STORAGE | Protect from light and seal tightly. It is recommended to store in a dry place at normal temperature. |
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
| Hypersensitivity to gentamycin. Administration to animals with a serious impaired liver and/or renal function. Concurrent administration with nephrotoxic substances. |
PRECAUTIONS
| Do not re-use empty bottles. Refrain from smoking and eating while handling the product. Wash hands after use. |
