1. General Introduction

Conductor(AAC and ACSR) have been widely used in power transmission lines with various voltage levels, because they have such good characteristics as simple structure, convenient installation and maintenance, low cost large transmission capacity. And they are also suitable for laying across rivers valleys and the places where special geographical features exist.

Applications of Duplex Service Drop: To supply 120 volt aerial service for temporary service at construction sites, outdoor or street lighting applications. And for service at 600 volts or lower where conductor temperature can’t exceed 75°C maximum.

 

2. Material Standard

(1).The hard aluminum conductor used for AAC and ACSR conforms to the standard GB/T 17048-1997(equivalent to IEC 60889:1987).

(2).The zinc coated steel wire used for ACSR conforms to IEC 60888:1987.

(3).Production can be arranged according to customers’ requirements for material standard etc.

3. Product Features:

1. Rated voltage U0 / U: 0.6/1kV

2. The cable conductor long term working temperature should not be exceeded:

    * Polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene aerial insulated cable 70 °C

    * XLPE aerial insulated cable 90 °C

3. When short circuit (Max 5 seconds), the conductor temperature can not be exceed:

    * PVC insulated aerial cable 160 °C

    * Polyethylene insulated aerial cable 130 °C

    * XLPE insulated aerial cable 250 °C

    * The ambient temperature of laying cable can not be lower than -20 °C
