Cationic Polyacrylamide for water treatment
General Introduction
This product is water soluble, cationic and highly polymerized electrolytes, with high active group of positive charge, ensuring a good flocculation performance. They are water soluble but not soluble to ethanol or acetone or other organic solvent. The product is non-toxic, colorless, tasteless and absorbent.

Application Field
1. For dehydration of activated sludge from wastewater treatment plant and physicochemical sludge from city water plant, the product can flocculate 98% water mud into 70% water mud. The available filters are centrifuge and belt filter press and plate-and-frame filter press, etc.
2. For sedimentation of suspended matter in turbid liquid, it is especially suitable to the flocculation and sedimentation of organic suspended solid in acid matter. The available devices are settling basins, high-efficiency floatation tanks and so on.
3. The product could be used in the paper-making process as retention aid, filter aid, sizing agent and others and it can also be used in paper-making wastewater treatment and sludge dehydration.
4. The product can be used in the demulsification, oil removing and flocculating and sedimentation of oily waste water in oil fields, food processing and chemical industries.
Features of Polyacrylamide Emulsion
1. Cross-linked structure, good flocculation performance and it can be used in environments with a wide PH range.
2. Quick flocculation, solid floccules and less water contained in floccules
3. High solid recovery rate and less floatation in the supernatant
4. Speed dissolution for only 5 to 10 minutes
5. It can be used for dehydration, improving the dryness of mud by 2~5% which is hardly achieved by granules and powders.
Dissolution of Polyacrylamide
1. Water for dissolution: it is recommended to use low hardness water with a neutral PH value. When used in underground water, or water with inorganic solute or excessive metal ions, the product performance is likely to be reduced.
2. Concentration of solution: usually 0.2%(0.1%~0.5% also acceptable)for cationic products and 0.1% (0.05%~0.3% also acceptable) for anionic and non-ionic products.
3. The dissolution shall be made in plastic, ceramic or stainless steel containers and the speed of agitator shall be medium. When transporting the dilute solution, avoid using high-shearing rotor pumps like centrifuge, but low-shearing rotor pumps like the screw pump.
Application and Storage Cautions of Polyacrylamide
1. The product is toxic-free, and water soluble, easy to absorb water and become chunk.
2. When it comes to hands or skin, clean by water.
3. Store in dry, 5°C~30°C places
4. For emulsion products, the storage period is 6 months. When being stored longer than 6 months, an oil layer is seen from the surface, which is a normal phenomenom. Before using, please agitate it evenly and the product performance will not change.
5. The mixed dilute solution shall not be stored for long and it is better to use it right after solution is made. When used 24 hours after preparation, the performance will be reduced as the viscosity decreases.
