H-0606 is used for measuring the electrical resistance of antistatic shoes worn by workers for preventing human bodies from ESD. To prevent human body from ESD, resistance of 100 M_ or less to ground is required and resistance of 0.1 M_ or more is desirable for preventing electrical shock accidents from occurring. As the resistance of shoes will vary, depending on the temperature, humidity, contamination of shoe soles, and friction, measurement and maintenance work must be carried out on a regular basis.
