We would like to introduce ourselves as an exporter, grower and cultivator of Fresh Green Highland Cavendish Bananas. Our company name is DAVAO GREEN GOLD TRADERS CORPORATION (DGGTC) which was incorporated and registered to the Securities and Exchange Commission last August 23, 2007.
Previously, the corporation was engaged in spot buying and supply contract of Cavendish bananas on various growers in Davao del Norte and Compostela Valley Province. However, due to various issues on the management of the quality of the bananas produce and offered by the growers to our company, DGGTC lamented on putting up a self managed banana plantation.
The choice of the company on putting up a self owned plantation was confronted by many problems, which one of which is the financial aspect and area which would be suitable for the establishment of the farm. After conducting as many negotiations with various land owner, DGGTC has close a deal for a contract of lease of various land owner in Barangay Sinuda, Kitaotao, Bukidnon by virtue of an assignment granted by the Federation of Matigsalug-Manobo Tribal Coucils, Inc. (FEMMATRICS) over an area of 500 hectares. The company has secured a lease contract for a period of 25 years which commenced last December 2009.
Currently, the farm is now harvesting for the first generation and producing two (2) containers weekly and will increase by the end of April. And Del Monte nowadays is constantly in communication with us for a contract with our farm but we opted first to look for a suitable direct importer/buyer in the hope that we can enter long lasting business relationship.
