Established in 1999, The Kayuwangi aims to improve the socio economic condition of neighborhood communities in Bantul Regional (Yogyakarta, Indonesia) especially after the Earthquake tragedy (May 27, 2006) that automatically decrease, more ever a lot of home industries, craftsman, collapse by this tragedy.
Together with our communities we want to built the craft industry in Bantul awake. We commit to improving the living conditions of marginalized artisan group by providing and support them both with financial, technical, and administrative assistance.
The Kayuwangi applied transparency and fair trade management among the stake and share holders, by presenting and opening opportunities for them to create, improve and market their products and adherence to international labor standards and using environmentally sustainable raw materials.
