Vacuum Freeze Dried Powder Durian

The Durian fruit is a popular fruit in Thailand. You can see it sold along the market.

The raw materials are prepared and frozen solid, and then freeze dried in a vacuum chamber. Under this process, water turns into ice cells and converted into steam. The shape, size , color and other properties are retained in the products. Selecting the Vacuum Freeze Drying Process and dark-air-tight packing is the best method of long term food preservation.  It retains the aroma, color, texture and nutrients without requiring the addition of preservatives, Fruits maintain their visual appeal as well as their nutritional value and original flavour. Nutritional Value of Durian

Durian is high in a wide range or minerals and vitamins. A three and a half ounce serving contains the following:

    144 calories

        3 grams of protein

       4 grams of fat

     12 grams of simple sugars

     12 grams of starch (for a total of 34 grams of carbohydrates)

       2 grams of fiber.

The mineral content are the following:

    9 milligrams of calcium

    4 milligrams of phosphorus

   1 milligram of iron and trace amounts of carotene.

They also contain vitamin C and a complement of "B" vitamins.
