| General | Omnicat 550 is a highly reactive photoinitiator designed for use in cationic curing inks and coatings. It is particularly suited to use in pigmented inks. Omnicat 550 has two by-products following curing: 2-isopropyl thioxanthone (Omnirad ITX) and biphenyl. Biphenyl is an approved antioxidant food additive for use in Europe (E230) and the USA (ASP128). There are no SML or TDI limits set for biphenyl or 2-ITX. | |
