3. Discription

Hasoxine Bolus is an oral formulation containing Oxytetracycline, a broad-spectrum antibiotic that possesses a high order of stability and potent antimicrobial activity, for use in beef and dairy calves.

4. Indications

Hasoxine Bolus is recommended for oral administration for the control and treatment of the following disese of  beef and dairy calves caused by organisms sensitive to Oxytetracycline, bacterial enteritis caused by Salmonella typhimurium and Escherichia coli(colibacillosis); bacterial pneumonia(shipping fever complex, pasteurellosis) caused by Pasteutella multocida.

5. Recommended storage

Store at room temperature 15 centigrade to 30 centigrade

6. Dosage and administration

For the CONTROL of bacterial enteritis and bacterial pneumonia in beef and dairy calves; administer orally one-half bolus( 250mg oxytetracycline hyddrochloride) per 100lb of body weight every 12 hours( 5mg/bl of body weight in divided doses) for up to 4 consecutive days.

For the TREATMENT of bacterial enteritis and bacterial pneumonia in beef and dairy calves; administer orally one bolus(500mg oxytetracycline Hydrochloride) per 100lb of body weight every 12 hours(10mg/bl of body weight in divided doses) for up to 4 consecutive days

7. Warnings

There is no pre-staughter withdrawal period when used at the recommended dosage level. withdrawal period has not been established for the production pre-ruminating calves. Do not use in calves to the processed for veal.
