As Fertilizer:

Decanter cake is rich sources of plant nutrient which can be further enriched by adding inorganic fertilizer to produce a more valuable palm-based bio-fertilizer. Malaysia Palm Oil Board (MPOB) research had proven that this integration can increase the efficiency of nutrient intake by the crops and the retention of nutrients in the soil.

 As Livestock Feed:

Palm oil decanter cake contains suitable nutrients for livestock. It has been used as fodder for livestock, e.g. cattle, lamb in Indonesia and Malaysia.
