The Eclipse is machined from solid Aluminium, and weatherproofed to IP67 rating.   A Sony 1/3" Super HAD Colour CCD Camera is installed in the Eclipse, which has a high resolution of 550 TVL, and true day-night capability incorporating automatic switching between colour and mono.

36 Infra Red LED's encircle the camera, giving 21 metres range even in total darkness.   A clear image is ensured by integrated Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and a glass aspherical lens (3.0-8.5mm auto iris, vari-focal).   The camera module also features automatic or manual white balance, with 3 steps of control.
