Distribution: East Africa, Indo-pacific
Biotope: Coastal forests, in stones heaps or under stumps.
Size: Length of the front part of cephalothorax (head) up to 32 mm (1"1/4).

Colour: From pink-purple to dark violet. Numerous light coloured granules all over the body.
