Tapis is a very strong hand woven covered by thousands knitting of golden thread almost all over the surface. It's called "Tapis SISIB". The process is long to produce this sort of sarong, it needs a delicate artistic taste, focus, and patience. After having had put the threads one by one on the surface, the lady weaver will sew it to strenghten all thread's linkages so tapis will be long lasting in the age
The maintenance of a hand woven product is simple, as long as, it's not being washed with detergent and drying away from the rays. You just need to hang it and get some fresh air, then the songket will be long lasting up to 3 generations or more
