Frequently Ask Questions
1. What is the meaning of ‘regenerative agent’ ?
Regenerative agent ( reagent ) in Tonic Battery is a specialty chemicals used for regeneration the positive plates inside lead acid battery by breaking down the deposit PbSO4 and other metal oxides pollutants. The battery becomes more powerful (Voltage increase). The reagent also prevent corrosion, transforms the plates hydrophilic that avoid the cracks.
2. When is good time for battery start to apply Tonic Battery ?
All means of efforts to prevent corrosion should be executed prior to the corrosion start process (e.g. automotive rust proofing). If corrosion occurs, the active materials will scraped off and falls down from positive plates. Corrosion gradually cut the battery capacity and performance. No chemical formula in the world can recover metal corrosion back to its original shape without smelting / recycling it. Use tonic battery as an corrosion inhibitor since at the beginning or in the middle of usage period before too late.
3. Why is it worth using Tonic battery ?
Assume one battery is being used 1,5 year and will die approx next 6 months ( according to the record from previous usage ). Treatment with tonic battery will benefit regeneration impact of approx 6 to 9 months which transform the battery life to the state of ± 1 year. For sure the battery lifespan will extend longer than 6 months ( depends on the state of degradation by corrosion which can't be recovered ).
Tonic battery offers warranty savings of 20% to 35% from battery cost by spending only 5% for tonic battery.
4.. Tonic Battery consist of how many types ?
There are 3 types :
a) Soft Tonic Battery 398 ml ( marked 'Blue' circle ) for initial treatment
b) Soft Tonic Battery 398 ml ( marked 'Red' circle ) for mid period treatment
c) Strong Tonic Aki 90 ml for rescue premature deaths of battery caused by thoughtlessness and emergency treatment for active battery which time of usage > 75%
5.. How to prove the batteries have better performance with Tonic Battery ?
Simple ! by comparing the sound of horn, lighting, starting engine before and after treatment. More accurately by measuring state of charge (Voltage), self discharge rate with electrical devices before and after treatment. You may consult with University, Research Institutes and battery experts.
Voltage 6,30/12,60 State Of Charge 100%
6,20/12,40 75%
6,10/12,20 50%
6. When top up Tonic Battery, there is a gaseous sound ?
No problem, this is the sound of chemical reactions which breakdown deposit PbSO4. Tonic battery is a toxic and corrosive chemicals which can cause lung injury, nausea, gastric pain, osteoporosis. Therefore one must wear hand gloves, avoid skin contact, inhalation and indigestion.
7. Can we ongoing using Tonic Battery ?
The whole lifetime of one battery only require two different bottles of Soft Tonic Battery ( 398 ml each ). Preventive treatment can extend the battery lifetime from 1,5 times ( small battery < 50 AH ) up to 2 times ( battery > 50 AH ).
Usage Direction :
Soft Tonic Battery 398 ml ( marked 'Blue' circle ) for initial treatment
Type NS40, NS40Z, N60 1 - 6 months of new battery ( ½ - 1 bottle )
Type N50 up to… N 120 1 - 8 months of new battery ( 1 - 2 bottles )
Soft Tonic Battery 398 ml ( marked 'Red' circle ) for second treatment
Type NS40, NS40Z, N60 > 6 months time of usage ( ½ - 1 bottle )
Type N50 up to… N 120 > 8 months time of usage ( 1 - 2 bottles )
Practical usage, top up each cells until achieve upper level, without have to ensure same volume for every cells.
Keep in the room, at cool place
8. Why does old battery not effective use Tonic Battery ?
Old battery with condition has wrap plate, already swelling, easily overheated when use, much sediment, black color of electrolyte is an indication of severe degradation by corrosion. However, old battery with good condition can still use tonic battery.
9. Why Soft Tonic Battery extend small battery ( < 50 AH ) life 6 months only ?
The fact is so many automotive manufacturer use small and ‘undersize’ battery for application to their motorcar, consequently it is pushed too hard. This condition is as same as a child is given an adult’s work load. Can you imagine?
