Oxytetracycline hydrochloride........250mg

Discription:Calf Scour Bolus is an oral for-mulation containing Oxytetracycline,a broad-spectrum antibiotic that possesses a high order of stablity and potent antimicrobial activity,for use in beef and dairy calves.

Indications:Hasoxine boluss is recomended for oral administration for the control and treatment of the following disease of beef and dairy calves caused by organisms sensitive to Oxytetracycline:bacterial enteritis caused by Salmonella typhimurium and Escherichia coli(colibacillosis) ;bacterial pneumonia(shipping fever complex,pasteurellosis) caused by Pasteutella multocida.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

For the CONTROL of bacterial enteritis and bacterial pneumonia in beef and calves:administer orally one-half bolus(250mg oxytetracycline hydrochloride)per 100 lb of body weight every 12 hours(5mg/lb body weight in divided doses) for up to 4 consecutive days.

For the TREATMENT of bacterial enteritis and bacterial pneumonia in beef and daity calves:administer orally one bolus(500mg oxytetracylcine Hydrochloride)

per 100 lb of body weight every 12 hours(10mg/lb of body weight in divided doses) for up to 4 consecutive days.

Warning:There is no pre-slaughter withdrawal period when used at the recommended dosage level.A withdrawal period has not been established for the production pre-ruminating calves.Do not use in calves to the processed for veal.
