Filter press are sometimes called "Plate-and-Frame Filter Press." This refers to the style of filter element that was most prominent in the mid 1800's until the late 1960's. While this specialized style of the filter press is still manufactured today, the current manufactured units are more accurately referred to as "Recessed Chamber Filter Press” and/or “Diaphragm (Membrane) Filter Press". The function of filter press is to separate solid and liquid,also for wastewater/water dewatering. For the usage of filter press,there are some different types,ie pp filter press,stainless steel filter press,membrane filter press,laboratory filter press,cast iron filter press etc. Also it can be divided into:jack filter press,manual filter press(now almost out of date),automatic filter press. There are also some additonal function of the filters,such as auto pulling plates,auto shifting plates,belt conveyor ,auto filter cloth washing etc. The applications of the filter press are: coal washing,inorganic salt,mining,alcohol,petroleum,chemical,dyestuff,metallurgy,medicine,foodstuff,textile,printing and dying,paper making and sewage treatment industries. The skeleton has one chief function—that is to hold the filter pack together against the pressures developed internally during the filtration process. The terms used to describe the skeleton may vary slightly from manufacturer to manufacturer, but the sub-components remain essentially the same: - Stationary head - Follower head - Hydraulics - Manifold

The sailed chamber should be opened so that to discharge cakes. By buttons on 

PLC cabinet, the plates can be opened one by one or by groups.

if the cake is sticky and not easy to drop down by gravity when plates be opened, 

this function can shake it down.

automatic washing cloth

In case the solid residual will block the filter cloth, the auto washing cloth device 

can wash it after several cycles’ working.
