What is Borosilicate Glass:
It is a kind of special glass material with low expansion rate, high temperature resistance, high strength, high hardness, high light transmittance and high chemical stability.
Borosilicate glass is a strong heat-resistant glass that weighs less than traditional glassware. It is able to withstand shocks and extreme temperatures (from -22 F degree to 900 F degree) without shattering. It is used to make scientific lab glass. Borosilicate glass (medical grade glass) is stronger than traditional "soda-lime" glass.

Boron oxide acts as the glue holding silicate together. Due to the small size of boron particles, the glass is held together, resulting in stronger glass.
