Malaysian halal product exports in 2014 was 37.7 billion ringgit, nearly doubling the target of 19 billion ringgit set for in 2020, according to Malaysian Minister of International Trade and Industry Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed.
Datuk Seri Mustapa said lately Malaysia has perfect environment for developing halal industry, with better promotion agencies and religious institutions than Thailand, Singapore and other neighboring countries.
Malaysia will host the 12th Malaysia International Halal Fair on March 30, he announced.
