The 17th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), which concluded on Sept 11, attracted total investment of 420.6 billion yuan ($68.73 billion) and signed contracts for 1,386 projects, chinafair.org.cn reported.
A total of 15,173 business people from 118 countries and regions, including 10 international organizations, 435 foreign delegations and 11 delegations from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, took part in the event.
The fair attracted foreign investment of 198 billion yuan ($32.35 billion), and domestic investment of 153.3 billion yuan ($25.05 billion).
The “Guest of Honor” province, Hainan, signed contracts for 26 projects with a total value of more than 50 billion yuan ($8.17 billion).
In addition, over 10 project matchmaking symposia, eight exhibitions concerning exclusive projects, and 45 dialogues between investment organizations, governors and mayors were held during the four-day fair.
The 18th CIFIT is expected to be held in Xiamen next year from Sept 8 to 11.
